Now, Swedish brand Fjällräven have reissued the creative industry staple with Re-Kånken. Made entirely from polyester recycled from plastic bottles, both it’s birth and afterlife have been carefully considered. Available in a spectrum of 11 colours, from bright primaries to classic neutrals.
Free style, free beauty
The ultimate bohemian clothing brand Free People, is launching a beauty collection that will have an emphasis on products that are both kind to the skin and to the animals. Allure magazine reports that brands we’ll expect to see are RMS Beauty, Smith & Cult, Love + Sage, Pai Skincare, the Beauty Chef, and Moon Juice.
Asos get artisanal
Working with different designers each collection, with Asos Africa, the online retailer aims to encourage a more ethical approach to fashion. Now in it’s third season, the collections are all produced with manufacturers SOKO in Kenya to support the community and use local craftsmanship. The current collaboration with Christine Mhando, AKA Chichia, sees a collection heavily influenced by both her African and British roots.
Urban Outfitters ReWork in a characteristically 90s fashion
Last month we reported that high street giants, Urban Outfitters, launched a sustainable fashion line, ReWork. Made entirely from remnant fabric sourced from factories around the UK, Urban Outfitters have put together a collection that remains true to the brands aesthetic.
